Relationships…Joyful…hard…unique…changing…I think we can all agree that relationships are impactful.  I am influenced by the company I keep and my relationship with God is no exception.  I am grateful to B.N, E.N and B.L for taking the time to carefully consider the question,  “How does your relationship with God influence you day to day?”  Here you will discover their insights.

“While the time I spend talking to God and reading the Bible each day influences how I use my time,... I  think that the largest influence that my relationship with God has on my day to day is on my mindset and  perspective. My perspectives of challenges and difficult situations are grounded in the faith that I have in God loving me and being sovereign over my life and the world around me.” - B.N.

“My day to day consists of two worlds; my world and the world of others that intersect with my world.

To know that God has gone before me; he orders my steps – he is not surprised or concerned in the same way that I am. He exists outside of time and is all powerful AND loving. All that combined, creates a soul-rest when I remember to remember.

I was raised in the church teaching of being sure to “let your light shine”. Ah, my God is so gracious. I had it slightly backwards. Like God, I should care for the entire person and not just their spiritual well-being. God does not need my help. It is wonderful, so lovely, to just care for people that I intersect with and allow God to do what he alone can do.” -B.L.

“My relationship with God is the underlying influence behind every decision I make, big or small. It is the light I use to guide me towards every next step I need to take. It is also the source of all my hope in the midst of a world that is hurting and in such need of a saviour. It’s hard to put into words how my day to day is influenced by God, as He is embedded deeply in every thought that crosses my mind. I strive every day to live by Jesus’ example in all things.” - E.N.

Perspective for difficulties…Soul-rest in His sovereignty…Hope in a hurting world…Caring for others with God…Guidance for decisions…

What would YOU add to the list? ;)
